I began my love for all things fabulous when I was a little girl. I'd slip on my mom's tall boots and not much else and work the green shag runway in our apartment hallway. That was ok when I was 3, now I still love tall boots and being sassy but I manage to wear clothes too. I've just always had a flair for the dramatic but a balanced mix of the two most important people in my life, my parents. My mom has her master's degree in interior design and from a young age I remember her teaching me about design, complimentary colors, balancing a room, and how to pull an outfit together. She has always inspired my interest in fashion, design, furniture, kitchen gadgets, and culinary arts. Now my dad is the man responsible for my favorite attribute, my gift to gab. He is a professor at Rose State College and teaches psychology. Here comes the analyzing right? No he didn't over analyze me too much, he just always has had wonderful advice to give me! And that man must have come out talking. He always has a story and taught me at an early age, "Noey if you are nice to people, they will uuuuuusualllllly be nice back to you." I have lived by that adage of 'never meeting a stranger' and it has paid off. I have been blessed with the ability to feel at ease with people and I love to hear the stories that they have to tell. They both have encouraged my every endeavor and to them I am so grateful. I went to high school in Midwest City, Oklahoma and then to college at The University of Central Oklahoma. I received my degree in Public Relations in Journalism. I vividly remember going to enrollment day with NO idea of what I wanted to study. I sat there with the school's huge class catalogs (no it wasn't online like now) and flipped through till I saw classes like "Communications" "Public Information Methods" heck, I love to communicate in public so that was my scientific way of choosing a major. God knew my heart and interests and it turned out to be the exact major I needed and enjoyed. I continued work in retail management after graduation and never looked back. I have enjoyed a successful career in retail sales, management, and consulting. This new website is an extension of my career and I look forward to growing with this site. I get true joy out of the art of communication and want to bring fun stories and reviews to anyone who enjoys reading my blog! I hope this website is a fun escape for you, because I know it is for me.
